Rhodiola SAP provides a standardized dose of Rhodiola rosea (R. rosea) root extract, commonly used in herbal medicine as an adaptogen to help temporarily relieve symptoms associated with stress, such as mental fatigue and sensation of weakness. Rhodiola SAP can be used to enhance cognitive function, including mental focus and stamina. R. rosea extract contains a number of major bioactive compounds such as rosavin and salidroside, to which can be attributed its adaptogenic effects. It is also a source of antioxidants such as p‑tyrosol, gallic acid, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, and flavonoids. Rhodiola SAP can be used to alleviate depression, anxiety, life-stress symptoms, and mood disorders. A number of clinical studies have explored the beneficial effects of R. rosea extract in alleviating anxiety, life-stress symptoms, and mood disorders.
Certified to be sustainably harvested from suppliers committed to ethical sourcing.
*CITES Regulation of Rhodiola rosea - The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) regulates the trade of Rhodiola rosea to prevent overharvesting and ensure sustainable use. Due to increasing global demand, particularly for its adaptogenic properties, Rhodiola rosea was added to CITES Appendix II in 2022. This means international trade requires proper documentation, including export permits, to ensure that harvesting does not threaten wild populations. The regulation aims to protect natural Rhodiola rosea sources while allowing controlled trade for medicinal and commercial use.
